Missing Socks

I am running out of clean socks One by one, they're gone in the wash I always find one; one of each color Where did the second one go? I imagine it running quite literally Moving the toes to make an escape Maybe it went in the garden to play? Maybe a bird came and took it away? What if that sock went and flew to Nebraska? Not really sure how it got there from here... Maybe the bird landed on a cruise ship, Flying over the ocean is a bit too far. Anyways, though, I kind give up. I'll just have to go and buy some new socks.
